How to Increase Your Vertical Jump

Man might not be able to fly, but we can jump. Different people are able to jump at different heights. If you are looking for ways to improve your jumps then you will need to take certains steps towards this goal. Fortunately, improving how high you can jump can easily be done by doing just some of these exercises. Doing this will soon have you going higher.

WARMING UP

Exercises should never be started without a warm up. If you fail to do this, you stand a high risk of causing cramps in your muscle. Warm ups involve a series of quick aerobic routines. You can jog gently. A good warmup will have your blood pumping.

JUMPING EXERCISES
Now that you’re ready. Your body is now ready to try out some exercises. You need to get as much flexibility and thrust in your knees. Perform the following carefully.

Deep Knee Bends – This routine starts with you standing. With your backs straight, gradually lower yourself by bending your knees. Keep going low until you reach your limit. Do 15 reps of this.

Deep Knee Bend Jumps – Again start from a standing position. And then, in one swift motion, crouch really low before shooting yourself into the air. Once you land repeat the process again. Repeat this 15 times.

Toe Raises – Start in a standing position. Then very gently raise yourself on your toes. Count to 2 before gently lowering yourself. Avoid rocking back and forth. Do this again 25 times.

Jumping Rope – You can get any true jumping results without more jumping. Get a jumping rope and daily do jumping exercises. This not only will improve your muscles it will also sharpen your reflex.

Jumping Lifestyles:
Aside from exercise, certain lifestyle changes can improve your jumping. One of these is to lose some weight. Lighter people find it easier to jump higher. Observing the people that compete at high jump games will prove this. People who are overweight and heavy find it difficult to jump high because of the effect of their mass.
