I Was Eating Myself To Death
(There was no doubt about it.~I couldn’t deny it any longer~It was a fact that was very obvious.} My body was sick. My health was being affected because of my large stomach that seemed to keep growing. My health problems included diabetes and high blood pressure not to mention back and joint pain. Blame for my poor health was mainly caused by the excess weight I was carrying. I was digging a grave for myself by living the way that I did.
I could look in the mirror and see the problem. But what was I going to do to fix it? I needed to lose the weight quickly, but I knew that would be hard since it didn’t appear overnight. I was lost and didn’t know where to turn when I went searching on the internet and found something called the biggest loser forum, where there were chat rooms full of people who were fighting a weight loss battle of their own. I was able to find the support of others and began looking into ways that I could get healthier. I was able to discover some helpful websites in my quest to regain my health. After that I made the decision that now was the time to do something about it.
I knew that I had to consult with a physician. My physician agreed with the idea to get healthy and helped me develop my plan. There was no argument that it was imperative for me to begin a fitness regimen before it was too late. The first approach that I was going to take was the oldest one out there, control what I eat and start a workout plan to use more energy than I took in. I stuck to the diet despite my cravings for all the foods that I was not allowed to eat any more, and I did my exercises faithfully every day, even the six pack ab exercises, that were on the video I had found in the attic. Despite my efforts, I was not making progress. I wasn’t happy, because despite all of my efforts nothing was changing even though a lot of time had passed by. I didn’t want to give up trying, but I was clueless about what to do next.
I went back to my doctor and told him it was time for me to find a way to learn how to lose weight fast, and what would he suggest that I try next to accomplish this goal since I had run out of ideas. My doctor agreed that the diet and exercise program did not work. My doctor suggested a method that would reduce the size of my stomach. The smaller stomach meant I would consume less food at one time but would eat more often. I knew that this type of drastic measure was filled with peril. However, I was taking more of a risk by being severely overweight. If I didn’t change something soon, I could die at any moment. I turned to the people I love to giver me the guidance and support that I required when thinking about the possibilities.
The day finally came when I went to the hospital to try to change my life. The operation was successful and I spent a short time in bed at the hospital. It took me a little longer to start getting up and moving around. The amount of food I consumed during my recovery was very small. My doctor eventually gave me the clearance to begin working out. I was not going to accept anything short of success with this plan. It was successful this time. The pounds were coming off of my body. Within the first year after surgery I had lost over one hundred pounds. It has been two years since my surgery and I am exactly half the man I used to be. People could no call me fat anymore because I didn’t have a belly that got to a door two minutes before the rest of my body. The health issues I was facing had all been lessened. I still exercise everyday and now my family joins in with me. If I hadn’t done this, I would have died, but now I wake up each morning and enjoy the new day.
